Meet Niamh Scanlon, the European Union’s Digital Girl of the Year 2015 and CoderDojo DCU coder and mentor. Although she’s only 15 years old, Niamh has already written code and software.
💻
CoderDojo, which encourages children to learn how to code in a fun way, helped introduce Niamh to code. With two apps already built, Niamh is working to encourage more girls to participate in technology. Niamh advocates for teaching more kids how to code to prepare them to enter into STEM and tech fields, and even gave a TEDx talk!
