#SpaceSunday with Nancy Grace Roman
🔭
“One of the reasons I like working with schools is to try to convince women that they can be scientists and that science can be fun.”

Dr. Nancy Grace Roman is an American astronomer who created the first NASA astronomical program. Although she was discouraged from pursuing science, she has left a legacy for astronomers and continues to inspire students to become interested in science. Nancy’s work making the Hubble Space Telescope possible and establishing the new era of space-based astronomical instrumentation has earned her the title “Mother of Hubble.”
