Sumita Basu is Intel‘s Technical Assistant. Sumita oversees the equipment installation for Intel factories worldwide, along with traveling the globe to speak at tech conferences and encouraging women in the field. Before joining Intel in 2002, Sumita did experiments with the International Space Station for her PhD. Sumita also invented the world’s first lead-free patterning process, which has allowed Intel to become the first chip company in the world to limit the use of lead (a toxic substance) in its manufacturing process
