June is Pride month, and an opportunity to highlight the LGBTQ+ members of the STEM community.⠀

Dr. Latanya Sweeney is a computer scientist and professor of government and technology at Harvard University. Latanya is the director and founder of the Data Privacy Lab at Harvard. In 2001, Latanya became the first African-American woman to earn her Ph.D. in computer science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Latanya was the Chief Technology Officer at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), where she launched the summer research fellows program.
