#MathMondays with Evelyn Boyd Granville
Evelyn Boyd Granville is the second black woman to earn a Ph.D. in mathematics and later went on to work for NASA on space programs before becoming a longtime professor.
After joining IBM in 1956, Evelyn created computer software for NASA’s Project Vanguard and Project Mercury space programs before working as a professor for 30 years in 1967.
