June is Pride month, and an opportunity to highlight the LGBTQ+ members of the STEM community.

Dr. JJ Eldridge is an astronomer and senior lecturer at the University of Auckland. JJ studies the evolution of binary stars using numerical models. JJ is also a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and Fellow of the Astronomical Society of Australia. JJ is non-binary and an advocate for LGBT+ inclusion. They sit on the Equity committee in the Faculty of Science at the University of Auckland and lead the Trans on Campus and Rainbow Science groups at the university. They also work with the Australian Society of Astronomy (ASA) on the Inclusive, Diverse, Equitability Astronomy (IDEA) group.
