Leah Namugerwa is a 15-year-old Ugandan climate activist. Leah began striking with Fridays for Future in 2019 to advocate for action on climate change. Although the Ugandan government does not welcome strikes and the public has often not taken her seriously, Leah is determined to raise awareness. After hearing about how droughts and landslides were causing hunger and deaths in her country, Leah began taking action.
